The President of the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS), Dr. Bilal Wahab, received the General Coordinator of the Iraqi Group for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Yousif Al-Mohsen. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance academic and research cooperation, as well as developing partnerships in the fields of strategic studies, public policy-making, and track II diplomacy.
The meeting addressed the importance of linking scientific research to decision-makers, and the role of universities and think tanks in supporting stability and development in Iraq and the region. Furthermore, they discussed mechanisms for organizing joint conferences and workshops that bring together Iraqi and international researchers to discuss current political, economic, and security challenges.
