Members of the Iraqi Group for Foreign Affairs met with Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Qubad Talabani, in the presence of a number of heads of think tanks, on the sidelines of the Erbil Forum organized by the Rudaw Center for Studies.
The meeting discussed the role of think tanks in providing advice and proposals to decision-makers in governmental and non-governmental institutions, with the aim of formulating a foreign policy that promotes Iraq’s interests in regional and international forums.
For his part, Talabani praised the efforts of the Iraqi Group in strengthening Iraq’s presence on the international scene, stressing the importance of Track II diplomacy in expanding Iraq’s international relations.
