The Iraqi Group for Foreign Affairs held a meeting with the Institute of Politics and Society in the Jordanian capital, Amman, where the two sides discussed ways to develop effective diplomacy in line with regional and international changes. The importance of strengthening coordination between non-governmental institutions in order to develop innovative solutions that contribute to strengthening the position of the two countries on the international scene was also highlighted.
The Iraqi Group stressed the importance of these meetings in creating an appropriate intellectual environment to discuss strategic issues based on Track II diplomacy, which contributes to directing policies away from direct political pressures.
This meeting is an important step in strengthening efforts and expanding the circle of cooperation with regional and international think tanks, with the aim of developing common visions that contribute to strengthening Iraq’s position on the international scene.
For its part, the Institute of Politics and Society expressed its appreciation for the pivotal role played by the Iraqi Group in opening informal dialogue channels, which allow for analyzing challenges from an independent perspective and effectively expanding the political horizon.
