Yousif Almohseen, General Coordinator of the Iraqi Group for Foreign Affairs, participated in the third session of the 7th Annual Forum of the “Derasat” Center. The session was dedicated to discussing the theme “Future Tools: Data, Analysis, and Foresight in Service of Policies,” within the framework of efforts aimed at enhancing evidence-based strategic planning and developing rational decision-making tools.
The session highlighted the growing role of big data and strategic foresight in supporting public policy readiness, and the importance of integrating quantitative and qualitative analysis in policy formulation. It also addressed developing the capabilities of think tanks in artificial intelligence and predictive analysis, contributing to building more effective and sustainable foresight visions.
A distinguished group of academics and experts from several Arab countries participated in the session, including: Dr. Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Rabaani, Director of the Omani Studies Center at Sultan Qaboos University; Dr. Yarban Al-Hussein Ould Al-Kharashi, Advisor for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania; and Mr. Michel Maiki, President of the Lebanese Book Club in the Lebanese Republic.
