The Head of the Taqaddum Party, Mr. Mohammed al-Halbousi, received a select group of international Iraqi researchers working in the most prominent regional and international think tanks, during their participation in the Iraqi Research Leadership Forum organized by the Iraqi Group for Foreign Affairs in Baghdad.
Mr. Al-Halbousi stressed the importance of this meeting in enhancing communication and dialogue between decision-makers and think tanks, pointing to the vital role played by researchers in analyzing events, formulating stances, and providing advice and support in the decision-making process.
The meeting featured extensive discussions on overall regional developments, the agreement regarding Gaza, and Iraq’s growing role in its regional and international surroundings, in addition to its Arab and international relations, particularly with Russia and China, the latest developments in the relationship with the United States, and relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, alongside the state’s procedures for confining weapons to official institutions.
The meeting also discussed the relationship between the Federal Government and the Kurdistan Region in light of the recent agreement, the water file with Turkey, the Khawr Abdullah file, in addition to the latest developments on the Syrian arena.
