The Iraqi Research Leadership Forum, organized by the Iraqi Group for Foreign Affairs from October 9-11, 2025, concluded its activities in the capital, Baghdad, with the participation of a select group of international Iraqi researchers working in the most prominent regional and international think tanks.
The three-day forum witnessed a notable attendance of senior political and government figures, heads of diplomatic missions, business leaders, and civil society leaders, who praised the growing role of the Iraqi Group in enhancing dialogue between decision-makers and researchers, and supporting national decision-making based on knowledge.
The forum’s activities included dialogue sessions that discussed the axes of the Iraqi political environment, security and diplomacy, and economic policies and international partnerships, with the participation of a selection of researchers and experts from inside and outside Iraq.
The forum concluded by emphasizing the importance of continuing communication between researchers and official institutions, activating the role of Iraqi think tanks in formulating public policies, and supporting the paths of reform and development in the country.
