The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Dr. Ali Al-Allaq, met with a select group of international Iraqi researchers working in the most prominent regional and international think tanks, during their participation in the Iraqi Research Leadership Forum organized by the Iraqi Group for Foreign Affairs in Baghdad.
During the meeting, they discussed the government’s economic plans and ongoing banking reforms, as well as the Central Bank’s role in enhancing financial stability and supporting sustainable development paths. The attendees also discussed mechanisms for activating the partnership between monetary and research institutions to contribute to the development of economic policies based on sound scientific and institutional foundations.
The meeting concluded by emphasizing the importance of continuing dialogue and coordination between state institutions and the Iraqi research community, in a manner that strengthens sound decision-making and serves Iraq’s stature and its regional and international role.
