National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji met with heads of Syrian think tanks at the invitation of the Iraqi Foreign Affairs Group, with the aim of exchanging dialogue and views on the current situation in the region.
During the meeting, al-Araji reiterated Iraq’s firm and supportive position on the unity of Syria, both its territory and its people. He emphasized the importance of strengthening joint cooperation to achieve the highest levels of regional stability, serving the interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples, particularly in the security field.
Al-Araji emphasized that Syria’s stability and unity represent a fundamental element in the security of Iraq and the entire region, noting that Iraqi-Syrian relations are based on deep historical foundations that extend to political, economic, and social aspects.
