Members of the Iraqi Group for Foreign Affairs met with the Head of Progress Party, Mr. Mohammed al-Halbousi on Wednesday 25 December 2024 in Baghdad.
The meeting discussed the importance of think tanks in providing advice and proposals to decision-makers in governmental and non-governmental institutions, with the aim of reaching an effective foreign policy that achieves the country’s highest interests, as well as its role in enhancing Iraq’s position in regional and international forums.
For his part, Mr. al-Halbousi praised the efforts of the members of the Iraqi Group for Foreign Affairs in communicating with the international community to enhance Iraq’s external presence in accordance with Track II diplomacy.
